THE AFTERMATH FARM
QUALITY BREEDING AND TRAINING OF TENNESSEE WALKING HORSES
The Aftermath Farm is located in the rolling hills of northwest Illinois near historic Galena. We have been raising Tennessee Walking Horses since 1987 and are proud of all the many offspring of our beautiful stallion, Coin's Living Legend, that we have produced and trained. Although we lost Legend in 2009 as a result of an injury on the ice, we still have several of his colts available for sale. Most have been started under saddle and have trail experience and some have been shown, but a few are still unstarted and would make a wonderful project for anyone who is willing to put in the time and energy. His colts tend to be gentle and easy to start under saddle.
Ellen's first experience with Tennessee Walking Horses was as a young girl when she acquired her first horse. Frosty was a 13 year old gelding and totally spoiled her for riding anything but a TWH. So when she and Andy (whose horse experience was mostly work horses) decided to buy their first horse in 1987, there was only one breed to consider. Long drives and rides on several horses happened before a horse with the right "feel" was found. Hannah has been on our farm ever since and has given us some of our best walking foals. One horse wasn't enough, of course, so Lauri was acquired the next year. She also has produced many fine foals. Coin's Living Legend came to the farm in 1996 and has combined with our few carefully chosen mares to give us a gentle, beautiful group of offspring.
